Prince Harry to Katie Couric: I want to find a wife’

Prince Harry is looking to find Mrs. Right.

The redheaded royal expressed his desire to settle down during Katie Couric's ABC special “The Jubilee Queen” Tuesday night, saying he’s eager to start a family once he finds the right woman.

"I've longed for kids since I was very, very young," the partying prince said. "And so I'm just waiting to find the right person, someone who's willing to take on the job."

The single 27-year-old embarked on his first solo royal tour in March as his grandmother’s personal envoy, making stops in the Caribbean, Central and South America. Although he had a blast boogying down in Belize and challenging Olympic champ Usain Bolt to a friendly race in Jamaica, the prince admits the trip would have been "easier" if he had someone special by his side.

“I don't have anyone," Harry told Couric. "I wasn't allowed to bring anybody with me."

If he really meant that, the search should take about 42 seconds.

Yee gods, how hideous.

These princes, (unlike their father who seems able to only putter in the garden like a feeble moron) need to get with their wives and produce A LOT of kids.

They need to show Europeans how to reproduce and grow families again — for the good of the nation and its future.

Princess Madeleine is available and she's your cousin, those inbreeding Windsors would like that.

I think he is also referring to the big picture job that being his wife and a princess with a royal child. As he knows and seems to be very conscious and considerate about that is much more than just getting married, popping out a kid, and living life.

It is truly a job to be the mother and wife of a royal and he understands he needs someone who can no only sign up for this but gets how incredible that commitment will be from the get go as opposed to saying, "YES! YES! YES!" without true understanding of the roles. It is sort of like signing up for the military without the realization of the gravity of what active service will entail. A divorce is no small affair in royal land.

He sounds like a very considerate and responsible guy.

If America was ever to revert to a Monarchy, there’s no doubt that I’ll want someone like Harry to be King. He has that “aura” and that’s something this Republic is missing. (Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that we overthrew King George III as the reigning Monarch of our country.)

The Windsors need to diversify their gene pool but I’ll have Princess Madeleine to myself, thank you very much. :-D

What Harry needs is to be appointed a very fertile wife, hopefully of strong stock, to put some good genes into the line and the English nobility.

Yes, nobles are in many ways reduced to farm animals.

He’s so obviously the offspring of Diana’s paramour, James Hewitt. The physical resemblance is embarrassing.

I don’t agree. I think he looks like Diana’s brother.

So glad all the royality freaks are in Britian which reminds the US why we should keep an arms length from our ally Britian.

For a long time I, too, was convinced that Harry was Hewitt’s son. But as he grows older I’ve noticed he’s starting to look vaguely like his father. I saw it clearly in one brief moment not too long ago. Time will tell, I think. People’s faces change so much over the years. And, of course, the redheadedness is on Diana’s family’s side as well.

Word is that he can troll something up here ... that's guaranteed compatible ... providing he truthfully answers all the probing questions.
