Yesterday my daughter posted on Facebook her joy in walking the streets of SLC on behalf of the queers of Utah. In addition a couple of people I used to respect participated as well. Of course they imported queers from all over the west as they mistakenly believe that Monson will now have a revelation. I am certain that he will acquiesce in some way.
Sorry, just disappointed in SLC.
I am certain of this in a different way.
The Church has always taught that we should try and love all people, even our enemies, for this is what Christ taught. but we are not to love the sin.
As I have stated. The church already teaches that any person can come to church and seek Christ, and they can join the church, as long as the repent and are baptised as Jesus taught, and take His name upon them.
In so doing, they repent of their former selves and live in accordance with Christ’s and His disciples and apolstles teachings. If they persist in either living in fornication and depravity, they will ultimatelty face church discipline up to and including ex-communication.
If they do not live this way, but teach others that the sin is okay and approved of, or sanctioned, or “winked at” by God, and persist ion that and do not repent, they will face the same.
I do not see that changing. I do see the Church continuing to invite all to come to Christ and be cleansed through His atonement of all unrightousness.
I do not believe the Church will officially address this depraved gathering...but if it does, it will be along the lines of what I just mentioned.
For the reason that "practicint Catholics" march for abortion. It happens.
The LDS marchers in their church clothing were only saying to the rest of us, “look at me, I’m so much more special than you are; I care more than you do”.
Liberal Mormon phonies. One of the main reasons among many others that caused me to take a closer look and ultimately stop attending forty years ago. Proud of my five generation heritage but not the dogma.
