The body of a missing convicted murderer was dragged out of a car by a bear that ate part of it and buried the rest, authorities in Canada said Saturday, according to reports.
Rory Nelson Wagner, 53, was out on parole from a murder sentence when he vanished from Kamloops, British Columbia, on May 23, CTV reported.
The black bear was later euthanized by conservation officers, CTV said late Saturday.

Looks like the “corpse” might have been thrown in jail for killing a rapist.
OK. Which was it? Was he dead or alive when the bear drug him out of the car?
What? Why did the bear not get numerous appeals and a court appointed attorney and get to spend his remaining years on Death Row???? Why is justice swift, only when this poor bear, who was hungry, had no food stamps or government assistance, only stumbled upon his next (and apparently last) meal.

I believe it has more to do with humans being on a bear's property, than anything else.
Usually, once there is one human, others follow.
It would be like Salmon jumping out of the water and walking over to a bear. He's gonna eat it.
The main thing is that if you feed an animal, he then 'expects' it. If it's a cat, well... you just shut the door.
If it's a bear... it's really up to him.

Most likely dead. Black bears hunting a live human is very rare. The bear probably just came across an easy meal to scavenge.

So if the teeth marks hadn’t matched, how many bears would they have killed until they found the right one? Ten,,,twenty,,,fifty?

Apparently, he and another man killed a man who 'allegedly' raped a family member of his, and got away with it.

ahmmm - so if the bear delivered 'poetic justice' - did the 'murderer' deliver poetic Justice when he killed a sexual predator who molested 'a family member'? (the story just says 'family member' - but if I remember correctly, it was a little girl - perhaps his daughter. Other relatives were with with him and participated....
So was he a 'murderer' who should never have been let out of prison, or a man whose life was ruined by a pervert who molested his daughter? - and who then ended his own life as soon as he got the opportunity.
Do wish people would read the story available before opining....Freepers used to do a better job of it
While I understand the thought that the bear has fed on human flesh and may now connect humans with food no one knows if it would kill a human to get it. There is a big difference in killing and scavenging.
