yes Amazon has a decent selection of books too... which is why there is a Kindal App on the Ipad :)

You see you can get Amazon books on the Ipad, but it doesn’t work the other way.

In fact an Ipad can access all the other competitors collections, but they can’t access the Itunes store. Thus with the Ipad you have access to everything, while with the others you only have access to their limited collections.

On the other hand is reduces the value of what you purchase on iTunes. It only plays one one brand.

Not quite. Amazon and B&N both offer exclusive content that are only available on their respective devices. A growing list I might add. Expect more fragmentation in the future, not less.
