Marine veteran arrested at labor union rally in Wisconsin issues a statement (Update)
Paulding County Republican Examiner ^ | June 3, 2012 | Christopher Collins

Posted on 06/04/2012 6:59:33 PM PDT by pistolpackinpapa

Paulding County Republican Examiner reported that on Friday, a U.S. Marine veteran was detained and arrested by police after being heckled and yelled at a rally hosted by former President Bill Clinton for Democrat Tom Barrett

The veteran’s name is David Willoughby, the son of Naples, Florida Tea Party founder Barry Willoughby. Early this evening, he released an email statement concerning his arrest and detainment. In relating his experience, he said, “My name is Dave Willoughby. I am the one in the video.”

“Without being told what I had done, I was handcuffed and escorted off premise. Placed in a squad car and taken to a police station. I asked if I should have my rights read to me and was told "You're not being arrested." My personal property was taken from me, I was fingerprinted, mug shot taken and locked in a dark jail cell, lights off, still handcuffed, “said Mr. Willoughby.

“I sat in that jail cell, looking out of a meshed wire window, at a large American flag flying in the background. Where am I? How can this be happening? What did I do wrong? I prayed for strength. When I swore the oath to protect and defend the Constitution, I never realized until recently, how vulnerable our precious freedoms actually are.”

“I did nothing wrong, “said Willoughby. “There were literally hundreds of cameras at this event. I challenge all media to find one shred of evidence, which would support the actions of the Milwaukee PD officers.”

Whether charges against David Willoughby will dropped is not known at this time.

Willoughby ought to get a large protest in front of the police department made up of vets like himself. I would bet the chief and arresting officer would hunker down in the back room scarfing doughnuts.

Many conservatives who support the police are going to learn the hard way that the police are NOT our friends, but are made up of union thugs.

A lot of Hitler’s early leaders were culled from the ranks of the police forces.

"Somebody needs to raise some hell!!!"

No disrespect intended but why aren't you raising hell? People have got to stop waiting for everybody else to do something.
At least that's what I do. I piss everybody off because I refuse to be bullied by punks. One of my sons lives in Milwaukee and I've been on him and his friends to get busy making it known what the jack booted thugs in the Milwaukee police department are doing to those they serve.
Of course this is just some of what I'm doing and my opinion. I can't tell you how many times I've contacted my Senators and Representatives.

I'm just saying.

"A lot of Hitler’s early leaders were culled from the ranks of the police forces."

And the military. Remember the Freikorps. They became the foundation of the SA.

Today, raising hell means Hannity, Mark Levin, Rush, even ACLU since his civil liberty was infringed for all to see. A lawyer would love this.

I’m a cop. If what this Marine says is true, there is no doubt in my mind that he was arrested. Many of us remember our oaths and are not “union thugs”...

Contacting Senators and Representatives is about as useless as a semi-colon on a texting keyboard. I still do it, however, and get a form letter back in reply. I live about 1500 miles from Wisconsin. I guarantee you that if I lived in Milwaukee, I’d contact Mr. Willoughby and ask him what I can do to help him in this situation. I’d be willing to organize a protest in front of the Police Station calling for an investigation into his First Amendment Rights being violated. Trust me; I’m hell raiser from way back. I’m so pi**ed over how the Democrats/Liberals are destroying this nation, I’m looking for a reason to get in someone’s s**t.

Lots of cameras. I just hope he can sue the individual police and their unions as well as the union thugs orchestrating this. A general law suit will just be against the taxpayers.

Woah, there. Maybe big city cops but the ones in small towns in Georgia can be counted on. And then to add on the military? Loosen the tin foil hats...

Many conservatives who support the police are going to learn the hard way that the police are NOT our friends, but are made up of union thugs.

I was once 100 percent pro-law enforcement, until events I personally have knowledge of and others occurred.

I now see those in law enforcement as agents of a corrupted, extremely controlling government.

Not all cops are bad, but unfortunately, they all work for government and do what they are told.

I strongly suggest people do not call the police, ever, unless absolutely 100 percent necessary. Take care of matters yourselves it at all possible.

Always try to avoid bringing government into the mix.

Rural law enforcement agencies can be some of the most corrupt at any government level.
