The final word on the Obama administration’s signature health care law has yet to be spoken. As the Supreme Court decision on the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare) looms, organizations throughout the nation are lining up speakers and events to present their opinions—whether a pre-decision debate that might sway an undecided justice, or a post-mortem discussion on how the justices got it right or wrong. Regardless of when the Supreme Court decision is handed down, the June 15 Texas Bar Association debate on the topic, the interchange promises to be both lively and substantive.

David Rivkin, an appellate attorney whom the Wall Street Journal credits with initiating the question of ObamaCare’s constitutionality and who represented the 26 states in the Florida health care lawsuit, will debate Harvard Law professor Einer Elhauge, who has filed amicus briefs asserting the legality of ObamaCare’s individual mandate. The debate is scheduled for 9:00 am, on Friday, June 15, at the Texas Bar Association’s Annual Conference in Houston.

This may happen at any point in time with regards to the SCOTUS ruling. What do you think will happen?

If SCOTUS can twist the Constitution enough to uphold a law which allows Fedzilla to *force* a citizen to purchase a good or service, then the Republic is finished.

My prediction: the decision will be 5-4. No idea which way, though.

I look at 8 to 1.

Remember, it can only force WORKING PEOPLE to pay....hardly equal and there's nothing stopping it from doubling the next year and quading in the third year.

It's Medicare Part Two.....another kitty to steal from...to pay off the pharmaceuticals, Planned Parenthood, etc etc.

So Who pays?? Same folks who are footing the bills now.

If False Federal-Care goes through, hard facsism will bring full blown Depression. Massive wallet shutdown = huge unemployment.

Everyone to shut down wallets, big time.

Just as our Constitution is irrelevant to 0bama, so is the SCOTUS decision.

Even if 0bamacare is overturned, 0bama will still implement it. THAT will be the test, not the SCOTUS decision. This is why 0bama must NOT be re-elected. If re-elected, he'll lay low on 0bamacare then pull the trigger after November regardless SCOTUS' decision.

In my opinion, there is little chance of it being 8-1, either way. Scalia and Thomas know the Constitution and won't affirm it; Sotomayer and Kagan were practically taking over from Obama's attorney in advocating for the case and won't overturn it. Pretty sure Ginsberg goes with them Kagan and Sotomayer.

It could be a very insteresting male vs female split decision. Logic vs. emotion.

The question in my mind is; if Romney is president (and I think he will be), will he keep it going even if SCOTUS shoots it down?

Ginsberg is stuck on stupid. The newbies, Soto and Kaga, have no need for allegiance to Obama or the party. (That’s why it’s a lifetime job”....It’s never threatened!!

Here's the deal.. If Romney wins and the Senate and House are Republican dominated there's no way Romney implements 0bamacare. Remember, Romney is white so no one will shy away from holding him accountable.

0bama does whatever HE wants because no one (especially white politicians) would dare risk being called a 'racist' if to challenge 0bama. Holder still has his job for the same reason.

If nothing else, we MUST get the 'race card' OUT of the White House ..
