It was very nice to meet you superfries and RebelTex! I am sooooo disappointed I didn’t get to see my dear friend Bigun. I’m sorry to miss DrewsDad and everyone else too, but I know how hard it is to break away when there’s lots of action at the convention.

Sorry to have missed y'all for lunch. Work beckons my presence at the most inconvenient times! And cellular reception is dismal there.

Laurenmarlowe was there, but didn't recognize anyone. Next time we'll do better!

BTW, where are the personal anecdotes and pics from the convention?

I am very disappointed that circumstances prevented me from being there with you guys.

Maybe we will get the opportunity to do something like this again soon when there is no convention in the way!

superfries,

I meant to thank you for pulling that green spider out of my hair! If I had seen it, Joe T’s would have seen a performance like never before. LOL!

It is weird the spider thing....just killed a huge half dollar size one on the back porch....the wife calls me spider man. I swear over the last few weeks I have had at least 10 different run ins with some type of spider....mostly crawling on me....in the house in my recliner....in the car driving.......Yours was so small it looked like pollen until it started moving:)

RebelTex....great meeting you for lunch sir.....I feel like I made a new friend for life.

Well, you all missed it....myself and RebelTex had some good eats and as the junior FReeper I bought everyone lunch.....of course I got off easy as RebelTex and myself were the only ones that made it to Joe T’s! We did run into Ms. AntiFeminazi after we had eaten.....she spotted us and she and her husband sat and talked with us for a bit. I understand laurenmarlowe was there as well but we never found each other. Next time we need to exchange cell numbers or something:)

My apologies to everyone. I offered a few suggestions on how to run things better during our congressional district caucus and was "volunteered" to act as deputy sergeant-at-arms and couldn't get away. We ended up with 8 contested races requiring 200+ secret ballots across 11 senatorial districts with 5 or 6 of them going to a runoff. We finished up about 2PM.

I'm sorry for totally miscalculating the caucus duration. we really wanted to see everyone and enjoy some good mexican food.

On the bright side, I had the opportunity to talk to Senator Dan Patrick about several items.

No worries. You were exactly where you should have been. I’m just sorry we missed laurenmarlowe. I feel bad about that.

Almost all the CD Caucuses went WAY long! Ours sure did! And I was the parliamentarian so I couldn’t leave!

Someday soon we need to try and put together a FReeper get together at some central location when there is no convention to try to work around.

superfries, I sure enjoyed meeting and talking to you. You have an easy way about you, and I shore appreciate you picking up the tab for lunch.

(All y’all that weren’t there see what ya miss out on when ya don’t show up for a planned meet, heheh. My apologies if I missed pinging anyone.)

Well, maybe we can all meet up on the 4th for some BBQ or something. It’s fun to get together, even if only for a few hours.

Hey, anyone know when the next TC Memorial Shoot is gonna be and where? (Did we have one this spring that I missed?)

FReegards,
RT

LOL

Wow, sounds like it’s gonna be great.

I will most likely not be able to make it (logistics of oxygen tanks and medications make it very difficult to travel that far and for a long length of time.)

I WILL be thinking about y’all and may celebrate on my own at a local range, heheh.

Keep the faith.

Sorry I did not see you at the Convention. Received a phone call on Saturday morning during the caucus that my mother was throwing up blood and was admitted to the hospital and transferred to Hendricks Hospital in Abilene. We immediately left the convention for the trip home.

Have not been on the web since we left on Wednesday for the convention.

Look forward to comparing notes about the gaming I observed at the convention. Good & Bad Events.

I am jealous you have an agenda. Here Arizona it was a free for all.. Worst Convention ever. They are actually being sued because of it.

Thanks for the prayers.

We brought her home from the hospital this afternoon. Analysis revealed she had an injury to the back of her throat from a pill which caused the bleed. And a heart medicine she had been taking caused her blood levels to be so high that she threw up.

Long and short, she is doing much better and we are no longer in panic mode. She still has the lumphoma and she still has dementia, but we are not facing the end.

Thanks again.
