Poll: No Blame if Court Nixes Health Care Law
By Margot Sanger-Katz | National Journal – 11 hrs ago

Even though President Obama fought for passage of the landmark 2010 health care law, very small minorities say their attitudes about him would change one way or the other should the Supreme Court strike down the law that is so often referred to as “Obamacare.”

Two-thirds of those surveyed in a new public-opinion poll said that their respect for Obama would be unchanged if the Supreme Court struck down his signature legislative achievement. Fourteen percent said they would respect Obama more under such a scenario, while 15 percent said they would respect him less.

That trend was consistent across the political spectrum—similar proportions of Republicans, Democrats, and independents said they would be unmoved, despite the pundits’ speculation that a Court decision declaring the Affordable Care Act unconstitutional in part or in its entirety might alter public opinion toward the president. The nonplussed attitude also held across nearly all age, income, regional, and racial categories, with at least 60 percent of each surveyed group saying that the ruling would have no impact on their view of the president.

Dislike is widespread for the law’s “individual coverage provision,” which requires every American to obtain health insurance or pay a fine.

And/or go to jail.

Sure would like to see the internals on that poll.

Funny, too, how the media is polling this question but refuses to report on the mass hatred of Obamacare.

How can anyone in their right mind have any respect at all for the pissant that is trying to destroy the United States of America?

Love this new trend of polling to determine that crushing defeats of everything Obama don’t matter. Pretty neat. What will the headlines say after election day in November?

They will, of course, say that Obama's defeat was a resounding endorsement of his success, the voters celebrating the fact that he has accomplished his mission in four short years.

I can understand this poll easy enough.

Those of us who loath Obama will continue to loath him and those who are drinking the Kool-aid are too stupid to be bothered by his failure anyway. Also it isn’t only Obama who gets all the blame for Obamacare. Nancy and all of the Democrats share the blame for the Obamacare disaster.

Remember Obama didnt write it, We don’t even know who did.

It is far too complicated a piece of destructive and costly legislation to have been written by anything less than a Socialist think tank of America’s enemies to have come from politicians. Yeah: they voted for it but they didn’t write it, and few of them read it, and none of them understood it. It is filled with so many ways to grow like Topsy, that no one can see where it might go in the future.

What will the headlines say after election day in November?<<

The razor thin loss to Romney (60%) Obama (40%) was even closer then the numbers show.....Exit Polls show Obama winning and will serve as the starting point of contesting the election under a new executive order.....National Guard Troops will be called to keep President Obama in office until a new election can be called...No date has been set...

The key word is CHANGE

Those that don't respect him now aren't going to become respecters if the SCOTUS ditches OBAMACARE but those that do may change their opinion

Poll is meaningless

Create an unconstitutional law
(a) that no Republican supported
(b) that even needed the buying of Democrat votes to get it passed
(c) not Obama’s fault

I have no respect for this life-long red diaper doper baby in the White House who has a high level of distaste and resentment against this country.

My opinion of him would not change if his step towards total socializing of the health care system was rejected by the courts.
