I would bet this was their intent all along. Walker would’ve been icing on the cake. What part of WI does Lehman represent? Is it one of those border areas that was suspected of busing in voters from Chicago and Detroit?
it’s really rather irrelevant as the state senate is out of session between now and November anyways. Currently, it appears that the Republicans will gain between 2-5 seats in the state senate in that election so it is essentially a meaningless victory for the dims...their specialty...
I say beat um at their own game. If it’s close enough for a recount..
They can’t do anything. The senate is out of session for the Summer and cannot convene unless the House side convenes. Being controlled by the GOP, the House will not reconvene until September. No legislation will be brought up prior to the election. It’s a pyrhic victory for the dems because the GOP will win back the Senate then.
This would be a good opportunity for WI repubs to hone their voter fraud investigation skills. They should fight this one!
I was watching FOX6now.com online coverage of that race. The analyst was wondering why that district was so slow in reporting, seemingly stuck at 20-something percent.
He said, “something strange going on here” My comment to that was “They’re busy stealing that election.”
The Wisconsin State Senate isn’t scheduled to be in session until next January.
The Republicans are said to be likely to gain a couple seats in November. So it is a lot of nothing.
The WI legislature isn’t scheduled to convene until Jan 2013 and there is another election in Nov. to determine the 2013 legislature makeup.
From what I understand this is the hollowest of hollow victories, and even the Dems know it.
-The Senate does not come back in session till next year.
- In November a seat is open in a Republican district where a long-sitting Democrat retired. The Dems are highly unlikely to keep it.
-And also must account for some GOP-friendly redistricting.
