GREEN Cola Gasification Plant Celebrates 25 years of operation.

Basin Electric Power Cooperative (Basin Electric), through its for-profit subsidiary, Dakota Gasification Company (Dakota Gas), owns and operates the Great Plains Synfuels Plant (Synfuels Plant). The Synfuels Plant is the only commercial-scale coal gasification plant in the United States that manufactures natural gas. It is also the cleanest energy plant operating in the state of North Dakota, according to a comparison of emissions data available from the North Dakota Department of Health

My nephew is a Chemical Engineer who works at the Beulah Plant. He recently attended a meeting in Houston where construction of a similar plant would be constrcted. It's product would be GASOLINE! I wish that Romney would pick up this idea and run with it. He can point to the Solyendra Stupidity and match it to the Beulah Blast. T-Shirt revenue is for Free Republics.

If only it was Cola, then mayor Bloomberg would be happy.

Seriously, this is the future. We need liquid transportation fuels. It’s a huge capital investment, but has a track record. Of course the future location is Texas.

We should do this in Colorado or California, but both places are infected, politically speaking.

Fischer Tropsch process

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fischer%E2%80%93Tropsch_process

It was how the Nazis made gasoline/diesel to run their
panzers

Used to work for Exxon - had whole library of studies
on how to turn coal to liquid fuel

Problem always been cost

Natural gas produced at the Synfuels Plant leaves the plant through a two-foot diameter pipeline that transports the gas 34 miles to a gas portal on the Northern Border Pipeline. The Northern Border Pipeline interconnects with a network of pipelines at Ventura, IA, where it is distributed throughout the eastern half of the United States.

All Natural Gas Pipelines for reference.

Connection points on the Northern Border Pipeline:

Note: most of these are inputs, not outputs, to the pipeline.

I always wondered why the government does not crack down on harmful and poisonous CO2 being put into a product on-purpose and sold to millions of unsuspecting people- Are the Democraps in the pocket of “Big Cola” companies Coke and Pepsi?

How can they get away with directly injecting so much CO2 into the atmosphere ???

The National Center for Good Earth Science (me) estimates that 3 billion cubic tonnes (notice I used the British spelling to lend credibility) of CO2 from cola-beverage induced belching is raising the global temperature by greenhouse gas-effect by 0.127 decC each decade which will lead to ocean sea level rising by 36 feet by the year 2100 (notice none of the figures can be measured during my lifetime)

IS OBAMA IN THE POCKET OF ‘BIG COLA’????

I apologize for the mispelling. It's a Coal Gasification Plant. My nephew does have a joke about this. The CO2 is shipped to Canada where it is pumped into the ground for secondary oil recvery. Thus it is sequested and improves Candian Oil production.

As the Beulah plant expanded it found another customer for the CO2. Pepsi and Coke buys the CO2 for its bottling plants. My nephew says that in order to maintain its "GREEM" title the Coke and Pepsi labels have a Green Warning. It says that the CO2 in the beverage must remain sequesters therefore

NO BURPING OR FARTING ALLOWED!

Not to mention forcing a bunch of CO2 into cola drives its pH down to around 2, making it a DANGEROUS ACID, a hazardous substance to be potentially used by terrorists.

‘Big Cola’ must be stopped - they are forcing millions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere!

Think of the children!
