I disagree.

Obama has nothing to run on.

Everything he’s tried against Romney has backfired and now even Bill Clinton is sabotaging him.

Goldwater was NOT a social Conservative. He preferred abortion to live birth for one thing. There were other problems.

Thanks for your reply. As I read your brief history, I kept coming to the conclusion that the Republican Party is essentially the Moderate Party.

Whatever kookamamy idea the Democrats come up with the Moderate Party caves in (=Bipartisan Support), and then endorse a me-too candidate.

Obama”care” is a perfect example: Senator Son-of-a-Mitch McConnell stands ready to “Repeal and Revise Obama”care” the moment Romney takes office.

What we need is to have a clear choice for voters, and not some lesser-evil, best-compromise, me-too, go-along-to-get-along, modified, moderate crap that we have now in the rudderless RINO Wing of the Republican Party.

If we are to get America back on the right track, we must take over the Republican Party. It will be far easier to boot out the sorry RINO “leadership” than to start a third Political Party.

Leave the TEA Party as THE home for the former Silent Majority, and rely on them to keep us focused on our goals.

President Calvin Coolidge said it best: “The business of America is Business.”

Remarkably Virginia didn't even usta have a Republican party.

Sometime in the 1960s a whole bunch of conservative Democrats create it.

Currently Republicans hold the Governorship, the lt. Governorship (albeit with a Mittbott), and State Attorney General, most of the Congresscritters, and both houses of the legislature.

Over in DC and Maryland you get your choice of hot and cold running black criminals or white criminals, but both with a bent toward larceny. Chairman of the PG county council is now in prison and the former Chairman of the DC city council is headed that way!

So, what's this deal about Virginia being owned by DC?

I think you have your states mixed up.

The problem here is the state Democrat party has four major factions ~ (1) Mind-numbed robot-like knee-jerk Progressives and Commies, (2) Ku Klux Klan types who only come out to vote if one of their own is running, (3) Black voters who are really Conservative ~ and have their own leadership within the party, and (4) Black voters who vote Democrat just because FDR was a Democrat and so was LBJ.

Types 3 and 4 constitute, together, the majority within the Virginia Democrat party.
