A federal court imposed a new congressional map for Kansas on Friday, bringing the national once-per-decade process to redraw political lines to a close.

...

Republicans and Democrats have squabbled over which party more effectively shored up their members and opened up new pickup opportunities through redistricting, but most observers have said that redistricting on a national level was essentially a wash.

Ridiculous GOP bickering over lines in Kansas. Redistricting over until they take another look at Texas for 2014.

Well, it also was a battle over lines for state legislature as well.

Oh that is true. I have been a map follower since 1990 through reading Congressional Quarterly at the library.

While this might sound "ridiculous" to you and others, it's really not here in KS.

The KS "moderate" GOP members loathe conservatives more than they dislike Obama/Sebelius and every chance to stick their fingers in the eyes of conservatives they do so.

Now we have had the Sebelius appointed KS Court picking winners/losers and guess who lost?

The Kansas State legislator can redraw the lines at any time in the next Decade, but frankly the federal court had no business or for that matter legitimate authority to insist upon its own map.
