I foresee the possibility of a negotiated settlement.

People are enamored of Trump because he is a self made billionaire and a no nonsense very, very good business man.

Read his books and you will get an idea of what he is about and how his mind works. Is he self aggrandizing? Sure he is but so was Mohammad Ali and I liked him as well because as they say, “it ain’t bragging if you can do it”

My wife dislikes Trump because she says he is so conceited. This is because he puts his name on everything he builds. He also had his name on the tail of his aircraft.

He is a master at marketing himself and is at the point now where he never uses any of his own money and gets paid well for allowing his name to be attached to projects he has no part in building.

Love him or hate him but a business man is judged by his success and he is successful. He is also a fighter and came back from bankruptcy brought on by his over extending himself in the 1980’s in the Casino business.

He’s a winner and demands respect for that.

Self Made?
Trump is the son of Fred Trump, a wealthy New York City real-estate developer.

I’m self made.

Trump isn’t self-made. He inherited millions and since then, a lot of what he has done has ridden on the backs of taxpayers.

“not guilty of anything, ever.’’< Indeed! As if such a matter should ever come before the court.

He is indeed the son of a wealthy man but according to info available he initially made his own money when he was given one apartment building and turned that into an empire via leveraging. He is a graduate of the Wharton School of business and his record speaks for himself.

It’s not about personal likes and dislikes on my part, simply a respect for a man who has done well in his chosen field of endeavor.

I find it interesting a man can be liked or disliked by anyone if they have not even met the person. You can not like what he said or has done but that imo is not quite the same. In any case my feelings toward Trump are solely based on a respect for his achievements.

Schooled? LOL, indeed, I have given what I believe to be an opinion including facts and because some have disagreed with me based on PERSONAL feelings you claim I have been “schooled”

The sum total of what I said is Trump has been an enormous success in his chosen field. If you would care to refute this and prove me wrong then please by all mans produce you version of the truth and prove he has not had a successful business life.

Please understand I have no personal feelings toward the man as I have never met him and nothing he has done has had any effect on my life of which I am aware.

li in my opinion was the greatest heavyweight to ever fight in the ring. His speed was unsurpassed and his combination of power and speed was unequaled.

I personally disagreed with his avoiding the draft the way he did and believe he was badly served by his handlers. He was a kid when that happened but he still bears the responsibility of his actions and he did pay the price.

As with Trump Ali was simply a hugely talented and successful guy in the field he chose.

I am also self made and retired at the age of 52. But comparing Trump to his father as far as success goes is ok I guess but it does not make your case.

Fred Trumps estate was valued at about 400 Million when he died in 1999, a princely sum to be sure. However Donald Trump is still alive and his net worth is estimated to be about 2.9 BILLION dollars, some 6+ times that of his dad.

Before he inherited his portion of his fathers estate he was a multi billionaire. As I said he was given an apartment building and on his own turned it into an empire. It was a great accomplishment.

I think you should read his book entitled ‘The Art Of The Deal” if you have not one so. It is a very interesting book in which he talks about his business philosophy and just how his deals get done. He uses many actual deals as examples and the book is very interesting if like me you really interested in the business world and how it operates.
