MANSFIELD, Ohio - Police on Friday afternoon were searching for a man who broke into a home and was possibly shot by a 17-year-old resident.
According to police, the teenager grabbed a gun when he heard sounds downstairs at his house, located on Woodward Avenue.
The teenager fired two shots at the robber. One of the shots may have struck the intruder in the stomach, police said.
The man left the house through the front door after dropping an Xbox control and several items he had in his hand when he was shot at.
The man was described as black, 6 feet tall and wearing black sweat pants. The man’s hair was in corn rows, police said.
Anyone with information was asked to call the Mansfield Division of Police at 419-755-9755.

In our twisted legal system, however, the owner of the gun might be sued in this case for allowing access of a firearm to a minor.

In New York city, the horror show I live in, the 17 year old and owner of the gun would be jailed for 4 years minimum, and the perp would sue and end up owning the house and everything else and still be owed tens of millions of bucks. Oh yes, and he would get maybe 30 days for the burglary which means he would do 10 days because of overcrowding.

That could very well happen to him here in Ohio. We have made progress here but there is much work to be done yet.

That surprised me as well. Sounds like the news guy didn’t get the memo that only white perps are ID’d.
It might be illegal for a 17 year old to own a gun in Ohio, but certainly not to shoot one in self defense.
In other news, here in Texas a gun range is offering birthday parties for children where they can shoot real guns at real targets. (I think it’s Lewisville)
Was the shooter white? If he is, he’s a racist. Even if he’s white-Hispanic or white-Asian. he’s a racist. If he’s white-Black or white-Muslim the left will go crazy trying to figure out what to do.
