The price per unit is still generally cheaper at WM but you can get smaller packages at $Gen. In some things WM has eliminated the cheaper versions and brands and carries only higher priced merchandise, like pots and pans, at least in the three WMs in my area.
Yes in the Era of Baraq many can only afford minimal portion sizes rather than the lowest unit cost.
