About the only NPR thing I could stand. Played Sunday mornings on our local collegs station - great background for cooking the extravagant breakfasts I would allow myself that one day of the week.
The only show I’ll tune into on NPR.
Enjoy your retirement! Thanks for the laughs.
I was never much good at math but 1987 - 2012, in my mind, doesn’t add up to 35 years.
Article says they started locally in their area in ‘77. NPR picked them up in ‘87.
That was probably the only good show on NPR. I always tuned into those guys if I happened to be driving when they were on.
“Tom and Ray fully won my heart when they came out with “the gayest car” survey about a decade ago. This, from the heart of fagland MA.”
Their winner for most lesbian car was the Subaru Outback (Forester came in second) and the Jetta was rated as the gayest car with the VW New Beatle coming in #2. VW put three in the top ten. Amazingly enough the Wrangler made both lists.
Back when Dennis Miller had his regular TV gig, he once put up a slide of a Honda Element and said one word:
GAY!
