"Some jackass will find a judge to overturn it, regardless."

We have a winner!

As long as there is a liberal judge to be found, propositions in CA (or elsewhere, for that matter) are much ado about nothing.

What reality are you coming from?? Have you ever heard of Proposition 13? This has saved me personally $10's of thousands, maybe $100's and the state hundreds of billions. The Rats have tried to overturn it repeatedly to no avail.

Your faux cynicism makes me doubt your motives. The paycheck protection initiative of this thread could win. Who'da thunk that an initiative to reduce government union pay and benefits would win 70% of the vote in far left San Jose?

The 2006 initiative was botched by Arnold. It could have passed if they had put it in a general election instead of a special election where the only people that voted were the unions. Many people on this site did not vote because they hated Arnold.

I for one will contribute and work for this initiative as well as maintaining at least 1/3 + 1 Republicans in the Assembly and Senate. This is my state and I will be d*mned if I let it go down the toilet without a fight.
