Panic is setting in among the people who ran the Democratic Party prior to the miraculous arrival on the scene of Barack Hussein Obama and the perfect storm of events that propelled him into the White House.
These people, starting with Bill Clinton, the master Democratic politician of our era, can read the tea leaves, and the following factors alarm them:
1. Obama has energized his opposition. Despite throwing everything they could into the game, the turnout effort in Wisconsin was handily beaten by those Tea Party nobodies and an RNC head who is actually up to the job.
2. Obama has alienated hugely important constituencies. Labor unions, utterly essentially to the ground game in November, feel betrayed, and are starting to focus more on their own survival than the success of the Obama re-election campaign. The antiwar left feels betrayed over Gitmo, drones, rendition, domestic surveillance, and a host of other issues. They turned out in San Francisco picketing his fundraisers, and spoke of not voting. His Bain Capital attacks are verging into a repudiation of capitalism, so Wall Street and the finance sector are getting alarmed, and the essential flow of political contributions to Democrats from them is drying up.
3. The economy is a disaster, and Obama is doing all the wrong things. The administration is reduced to making implausible claims of spending moderation based on an internet post. The public is fed up with Obama's performance, and his personal popularity is declining and will tank further as he goes increasingly negative on Romney. Swing voters are almost as negative about Obama as are Romney voters.
4. Obama is out for himself, and himself only.

I think Romney is gross too, but Obama has to be out, there are many who believe Romney is pathetic but who will vote for him nonetheless to get rid of Obama. So, while you are free to express your opinion, respect the opinions of others.
In the end, it will be Obama's hubris and self-centeredness that will be his undoing.

Yes it is. But it is an all or nothing opportunity for Romney. Waiting in the wings for the left is not Hillary, but Cuomo in New York, who is burnishing his cred by tinkering with spending without resorting to major taxes. He’s sure to become the voice of the opposition in 2013, not the dickweed from Maryland. Romney is going to have only one chance to really cut spending and right the economy, and it will have to happen in his first year. If he does not, the Republican Congress will be swept out in 2014.

Ny thoughts are the only reason why the RATS selected Romney as our candidate was they knew all along that Obamacare would fail and they would use Romneycare as their wedge issue to get rid of the Conservative vote.
All we heard during the campaign was all of our candidates would get mauled by Obama. Then why select the one they most feared? Because he had the two qualities that Obama could zero in on. Romney is a mormon and his policies best resembled Obama’s.

Amen Brother! That was exactly my thinking. Bill Clinton was a HORRIBLE politician. He was only defaulted the first time because of the interference of Ross Perot, and the down right Nasty connivance of the national media.
In 1994 his name was mud, and the avalanche of Republican Congressmen elected was a direct result of his political stupidity. He was shell shocked and whipped like a little dog, and the *ONLY* reason he was able to rally was because Timothy McVeigh blew up the Federal Building, and the Media leaped into action implying it was the fault of Clinton's opponents. They then hatefully maligned everything the Republican Congress (and especially Newt) Tried to do.
Bill Clinton was not masterful, he was simply on the same side as everyone who broadcasts news and entertainment, and as they controlled access to what the public was allowed to hear, nothing but the best light came through for Clinton, and nothing but hate filled venom came through for his opponents.
The media people are the enemy of this nation. They need to be wiped out financially. They need to be put into a position such that they can no longer tamper with the election process. They are the threat, and they need to be steamrolled. Bill Clinton was just a putz they liked.

I agree. Obama was all stealth in order to get elected but then tried to grab everything at once. That was not acceptable to the majority of Americans.
However, he is in trouble with the DNC for not being Marxist enough. After all, he told us all that he was going to do while campaigning but much of it, like transparency, was a lie. The Left is mad that he hasn't done the rest, like a civilian police force as well armed and as large as the military and making coal fired electricity production unaffordable, etc.

I have a libinlaw who adamantly claims that she’s not a socialist and neither are the ‘rats and if they go too far, they’ll just be voted out of office. There are certain “points of no return” though that the left is trying to achieve. She doesn’t think those points exist.

This cannot be repeated loud enough or often enough.
Anyone claiming money won Wisconsin is either a dullard or a liar. There was a spending difference but it was not the 6-1 that the left has been claiming. More like 2-1 if that. Secondly all that money spent by both sides didn’t really change any votes the people had made up their minds long before the advertising campaigns of both sides began. The end vote was vitually identical to the very first polls.
Fact is the democrats, using the uniOns as their surrogates completely overplayed their hand, and now sit in a disaster of their own making.
If I remember the percentages of the 2 presidential elections Clinton won, it was this :
1992:
Clinton 43.0% (Electoral vote : 370)
Bush 37.5% (Electoral vote: 168)
Perot 18.9% (Most of these were disillusioned Republicans)
1996:
Clinton 49%
Dole 41%
Perot 8.5%
Others 1.5%
In NEITHER of these two elections did Clinton even get 50% of the vote.

What if Hillary really was serious about getting socialized medicine into the US? She tried it when Bill was in office and she got her behind handed to her. Maybe a black guy could get it through? Then, Hillary runs in 2012. Socialized medicine is already here and she just coasts. The Clintons are leg-breakers. I always thought they gave up too easy in 2008.
