Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) said he will sue the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to move forward with his controversial attempt to purge the voter-rolls in his state of ineligible voters.

“I have a job to do to defend the right of legitimate voters,” Scott told Fox News on Monday. “We’ve been asking for the Department of Homeland Security’s database, SAVE, for months, and they haven’t given it to us. So this afternoon, we will be filing a lawsuit, the secretary of State of Florida, against the Department of Homeland Security to give us that database. We want to have fair, honest elections in our state and we have been put in a position that we have to sue the federal government to get this information.”

Scott's doing a good job as FL governor it appears to me. Maybe he will re-convert Floriduh to Florida. And, the States need to bring as much pressure onto this corrupt DC administration as possible.

Rick Scott is doing a great job as governor of the SOVEREIGN state of Florida.

***

My thinking exactly. Between the Catholic Church suits, possible contempt charges against Holder, and now this, the Obama administration can be brought to its knees. Bravo to Florida and Governor Scott.

ah yes; according to the left wing media its not controversial to have ineligible voters on voter rolls rather trying to remove ineligible voters from the rolls is controversial....got it...

You are 100% correct but the corruption does not stop with the administration... DC=District of Corruption.

I must also say that I too have been quite pleased with Gov. Scott.

A lawsuit? How long will that take?

Wouldn’t it be better for the State of Florida to purge everyone from the rolls and make everyone reregister and prove their qualifications? By purging everyone, no one could claim discrimination.

Wouldn’t it also make sense to take a thumbprint of each voter so that it can be proved with certainty if someone attempts to vote twice?

And, finally, wouldn’t it make sense to install video cameras outside the entrances and exits to polls so that it can later be shown who entered and who exited?

Lawsuits seem a waste of precious time.

Mr. Easley, since when is it "controversial" to uphold and carry out the law. Maybe to a leftist it is..............

They have been hammering Scott. Now he is fighting back. Just like Walker(WI). Everyone with a bone to pick should be on Holder, Obama, et al... It is the American way. Courage made this country great. Not cowardice. We just celebrated memorial day. It is not a one day thing.
