President Obamas claim Friday that the private sector is doing fine sparked a firestorm of attacks from Republicans and prompted a quick retraction, of sorts, from Obama, who later said it is absolutely clear that the economy is not doing fine. But what has gone largely unnoticed was Obamas complaint that its the government thats hurting these days. Where were seeing weaknesses in our economy, he said Friday, have to do with state and local government. But a review of data from several government sources paints a different picture.

Even the *government* is not fine. It is heading toward the cliff as well....because it is strongly connected to the people (the private sector) it pushes in that same direction.
But government isn’t doing fine; it’s wallowing, gasping for air like a gigantic Moby Dick. Lashed to Moby’s side by a snarl of harpoon ropes is a pitiful, marxist stick figure, Captain Obomba who, thanks to God, has gone sounding to the bottom with the monster he created.
