Yes, but we should ask, who taught the kid that the Crusade was about killing all the infidels? I doubt he imagined that on his own. It’s a very common anti-Christian/atheist talking point, and since this drawing was created as part of a follow-up assignment to a history class, I suspect the teacher is the source of this idea in the kid’s head.

Smells to me like typical leftie hijinks of brainwashing kids with their viewpoint under cover of teaching them. Could well be the parents or someone else in the kids life teaching them this, but the teacher would be my first suspect.

While the Church leaders may not have had this as their intended goal, it most certainly was not an uncommon idea among their soldiers.

Huge numbers of Jews were killed in Germany and elsewhere by Crusaders on their way to the East. The not illogical idea being, "Why travel all the way to Jerusalem when we can kill the enemies of God here?"
