Well...the first four clearly highlight the absence Constitutional restraint that renders the Fed more of a liability than an asset to these United States.
The ability to peacefully and productively “re-restrain” the Federal Gorilla will be a test of the Constitutional process....ain’t anticipatin’ much anytime soon however from the Republicrat RinoCracy....
And a pipe dream. The only way to do this is drain the Washington swamp of all its current members. Short of CWII, I can only see one of the five, Americas global image, being reset in the next 4 years.
#1. Government bureaucracy. Eliminate the EPA, DOE (both), and DHS (take the BATF with it) and we’d be well on the way to solving our fiscal problems.
Good comments here.
I would add - Choke off United Nations activism. At the very least, freeze ongoing treaty deliberations as related to the USA and restate in no uncertain terms supremacy of the US Constitution in all matters related to the United States.
I would prefer ousting of UN personnel from our shores, reallocation of UN contributions to American priorities and conversion of UN properties to casinos or other useful purpose.
While the trimming knife is out don’t overlook the bloated monster known as Homeland Security, especially the TSA.
Half tyrannical Nanny State Bureaucracy and half Government welfare disguised as busywork, Homeland Security is a costly, near useless impediment to business and an unconstitutional affront to the personal freedom of citizens.
At the Bottom: stigmatize and marginalize individual behavior that is clearly anti-social, corrupt, dishonest, irresponsible, selfish, disrespectful, narcissistic and lazy.
Celebrate and elevate the image of individuals who are self reliant and productive. Especially those who responsibly start families and make the sacrifices necessary to foster healthy well educated children.
And also celebrate and elevate the image and role of those who support themselves and others through the labor of creating and managing Small Business.
The unsung heroes of our Nation are those who invest in their families and their small business.
The misplaced virtue at the feet of “poor people” is a costly error.
But short of a war, there will be no peaceful way to end this. The system will not willingly go away. It will only go away if forces outside of its control make it do so. The amount of people and money invested in keeping the Fedgov alive and growing is staggering.
Any American Reset would not be complete without two things:
1) cut the physical size of non-military government by 30%;
2) reset the military - no union contracts, start over with procurement guidelines, and get the politicians out of operational decision-making
