I agree that government has a long history of making problems worse, but who can we turn to to teach our children about nutrition, healthy food choices, and healthy cooking? Most fat kid that I see are attached to fat parents. We can't expect the parents to educate their kids when they themselves can't understand a food label and their idea of home cooking is fast food take-out.

Parents need to educate their children about healthy eating; some will some won’t just like every other thing parents need to teach their children. It is not the government’s job, and they would make it worse if they tried. Expecting the government to solve issues that should be individual responsibility is what got us in the mess we are in.

I am not too worried about all the fat people, I think times are going to get hard enough to solve that issue.

With all the issues we are facing as a country; people being fat should not be a priority.
