Cavuto on now. Discussing Repubs are reportedly considering Dem proposal to pass budget through the Senate that would allow an increase in taxes now for a promise to cut a greater amount down the road. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Cavuto noted that the Dems ambushed the Repubs the same way under H.W. Bush.

Any Republican who does not realize this is political suicide is too stupid to hold office. They are not stupid but they think they are being clever. They let themselves be setup to be the "victims." Think it through to the election, how they will posture and what choices the electorate really has. Establishment Republicans are just as addicted to spending money as Democrats, but they want the Dems to do the dirty work for them.

Kabuki Theater's gone improv. The political party that pretends it's 2 parties has painted itself into a corner.

This has to be a joke No joke. Mumbles McConnell and the Crier are old school GOP submissive beltway types. They would have cut a deal with the kenyan at any point. McConnell is particular seems to take great joy in sticking it to the TEA Party. It was Barry & the dims who made the tactical choice to avoid a budget deal.

If the Republicans support raising taxes, that alone, will destroy the Romney candidacy and possible lead to the loss of the Republican House majority.
The more the Republicans support a tax hike, the more the chances of Mr. Obamas reelection increase.

Tax hikes now and cuts never. In other news, the sun rose this morning and is expected to set later.

Establishment Republicans are just as addicted to spending money as Democrats, but they want the Dems to do the dirty work for them. Yep. I have always thought the GOP would prefer to raise taxes instead of making the hard cuts because the dims will fight them every inch like wildcats. The Congressional GOP just does not have that combative spirit in them if it means taking risks.

Wimpy: "I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today."
Democrats: "I will gladly support your spending cuts next century for a tax hike today."

As soon as conservatives-Tea party made some headwind, these Republicans gotta mow us down at the knees.
Can’t have the momentum build up, you know.

You probably work for a “millionaire”. Don’t complain if a tax increase causes you to get a layoff notice. You’re unwilling to stand against it.

Oh yes, weren't these the same 12 that were meeting in "secret" according to plugs or some dim/wit?
At that time, I guessed who they were and I'm thinking that these are the same folk - given permission by their "fearless" leader, McConnell.

The GOP might want to revisit the words of President Reagan who said one of the things he regretted most was going along with a rat plan of $1 in tax increases and $3 in spending cuts.
Surprise, surprise, surprise, the increases happened and the cuts never did.

Wouldnt bother me if the Republicans raise taxes on millionaires as long as they get cuts in exchange.Let me re-state that more truthfully;
"Wouldnt bother me if the Republicans raise taxes on take more money from job creators at the point of a gun from millionaires as long as they get cuts in exchange."
Seesh, even some Freepers don't get some of the key causes of our financial problems.
