Top Republican lawmakers opened the door to negotiating with Eric Holder Wednesday in order to potentially avoid a contempt vote in Congress, a day after the attorney general said he's willing to make "compromises."
Republican lawmakers and Holder are at a standoff over documents pertaining to the failed Fast and Furious gunrunning operation.
After Holder said he's willing to reach a compromise, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., on Wednesday sent a letter to the attorney general urging him to make the committee an offer.
"Let me be clear -- if the Department of Justice submits a serious proposal for how it intends to alter its refusal to produce critical documents subpoenaed by the Committee, I am ready and willing to meet to discuss your proposal," Issa wrote.

Evidently the RINOs feel that the murder of a US border patrol agent is an issue open to negotiation. Despicable. Absolutely despicable.
What is there to negotiate? Holder was involved in smuggling automatic weapons into Mexico, specifically into the Mexican Drug Cartel’s hands; and AT LEAST 2 Federal Agents were killed with these weapons, plus an unknown number of civilians.
Live like a thug, get charged like a thug. What is there to negotiate?

Methinks Holder has information that he (mistakenly) thinks will exonorate his miserable butt from prosecution. And he wants to show this information behind closed doors — just between us guys ya know? At my house, okay?
No matter what Holder has, Issa is duty-bound to press forward with the terms of the subpoena. (Please not that there’s been plenty of time to jimmy up some workable forgeries in this case.) And if this “hot stuff” isn’t hot enough, then Issa is EQUALLY duty-bound to hang Holder’s ass!
Aw, to hell with it. Just HANG HOLDER and let the chips fall where they may! What’s the worst that can happen by hanging him?

Remember folks that this is the same man who stonewalled the after action investigation of Waco, Texas.
In either case, Obama winning or Obama losing, once the Presidential elections are over nothing will be done to Mr Attorney General “Witholder” because that is the way it is done inside the beltway.
If I was in Congress i would tell Mr “Witholder” the following
Tomorrow starts the reduction of the Department of Justice's budget for the next year. Every day you fail to produce all of the subpoenaed documents the Department loses 4 per cent of its budget. Only complete delivery of the unedited documents will stop this withholding of taxpayer funds. The cuts will start in your personal office and continue through out the rest of the Department if necessary. There will be no recoloring of the money to pay any bills or salary.
Since you have been hell on wheels when private citizens don't respond to your subpoenas it is time for you to receive the same treatment at both a personal and professional level.
