LIVERMORE, Calif., June 11 (UPI) -- Human activity has been the primary cause of global ocean warming during the past 50 years, a team of U.S. and international researchers says.
Scientists say the observed ocean warming in the last 50 years is consistent with climate models only if the models include the effects of observed increases in greenhouse gas during the 20th century.
"We have taken a closer look at factors that influence these results," lead author Peter Gleckler at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California said. "The bottom line is that this study substantially strengthens the conclusion that most of the observed global ocean warming over the past 50 years is attributable to human activities."

Let's assume this is correct.
They (scientists) cannot prove whether this is good or bad, net for the long term; the next 1000 years for example. That would be a math problem that could never be modeled.

Great minds think alike! I was thinking the same thing. In one of the shark movies (I’m not sure if it was “Jaws”) they describe how shark attacks started when people started swimming in the ocean for recreation.
It happened earlier than fifty years ago, but maybe the sea is just building up the urine content. When I was a kid we were at one of those beaches with like a mile of sand to the bathrooms (maybe Jones Beach in NY); I pulled down my bathing suit, and bobbing like a cork let out a #2 (I imagined that the water would clean my rear-end). I watched it ride up on a wave and then I never saw it again...
My wife and I were in the Bahamas at one of those pool bars; after I while I was bothered by the fact that so many people were pounding drinks (it was all-inclusive) and nobody was getting out to go to the bathroom. Not that I’m being judgmental (see # 11), but I wouldn’t do that in such close quarters.
You assume they have moral standards. Instead thy have the standard of greed of which they accuse Republicans. They are assuring their next multi million government grant to keep studying the hoax. Has any of them ever checked the location of the instruments which measure such things. Most are so rediculously close to a heat source as to be laughable.
Libs have no problem lying - it comes very naturally to them. Sir NoNothing Hansen at NOAA just won’t give up.

The big oil lie is propagated by Greenpeace on Sourcewatch and radical environmentalist David Suzuki and renewable industry funded Desmogblog and happily repeated by the journalists in the tank for the left and also by many ill informed commenters on the internet blogs and story sites. It is also behind the criminal behavior of UVA and OSU and PSU in purging skeptical scientists and protecting grant toting alarmist faculty.

If you want to see how this is part of a plan do a search for Communist Goals. In 1958, Cleon Skousen wrote a book titled The Naked Communist. In it he listed the goals of the Communist Party which he obtained from a purloined KGB document. It is amazing how close to final touchdown they are.
Not long ago I decided to rebel against political correctness by ignoring it. In the future I will be calling the Democrat Party the Commmunist Party.
