So? When the groundhogs were getting too brazen (climbing the plum tree, sending the babies through the garden fence to bring out the tomatoes) I put a road-kill squirrel in their hole.

This is Jersey.

They got the message.

Works every time! Just finished off a family of ‘ Hogs with my crossbow. Shoved them into holes in the back 40 of the yard. Destructive little beasties.

I put a road-kill squirrel in their hole.

I did that too! The squirrel disappeared and the groundhogs stayed, so I think some critter ran off with the squirrel before the hogs noticed.

I heard that they are very fussy about their burrows and if you pee in them, they move out. I tried it and they never came back.
