Sheldon Adelson Willing to Spend $100 Million to Beat Obama
U.S.News & World Report ^ | June 14, 2012 | SETH CLINE

Billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson just donated $10 million to Mitt Romney's Super PAC, and told Forbes he is willing to spend $100 million or more to ensure President Obama is not re-elected.

Adelson is by far the biggest political donor in American politics. Before this latest contribution, he had given more than $26 million to Super PACs in 2012, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. That includes the $21.5 million he gave to Newt Gingrich's Super PAC, which single-handedly kept the former House Speaker's presidential campaign alive.

[ But a lot of Union members will be voting for Romney in the privacy of the voting booth. ]

True, Unions are indeed parasitical real Vampires..
But some members hate it that they exist on the life blood of others..

I’m not really happy with Union members that hate sucking my blood..
Their minds may be gentle but their teeth are not...

OK, not Vampires.. let’s try Tapeworms, intestinal worms, ticks, or really nasty bats..
A good part of whats WRONG with America is Union based,..

Not all but a good part of it..
Theres a reason the Commies take over the Unions first before they invade..

Lets see.. WHAT are those reasons?... Would make a good conversation..
But about 30 years late... maybe 40...

In for a dime, in for a dollar....

This is an example of backing the not-Obama candidate, much more than any doctrinal purity. Whatever Obama seems to be supporting, put your money behind the guy who says he will repeal or nullify that agenda.

First Newt was saying all that, then when he was eclipsed by Planet Mitt, Mitt assumed the mantle, and won the continuing support of Sheldon Adelson.

Of course, Mr. Adelson now has a target painted on his back, and George Soros has his crossbow loaded and on the ready.

Rupert Murdoch can attest to the skills George Soros can bring to this fight.

It’s not pretty.

I agree with both of you.

It would be better to keep this quiet — but, that’s not possible, so the second-best thing is to get it out there first.

Now, if Adelson gave everyone who wanted one a hundred dollar voucher at his casinos, I don’t think there’d be that much negative feedback about this story, or at least not as many
votes that would gravitate to Obama out of the “sheer horror” that here is a guy willing to put up big bucks to defeat Obama.

They only had close in shots of him...Nothing to show reality. Obama is going to be buried in the election.

Myth should choose Newt as VeeP... it would unify the republicans somewhat

I supported Newt because he was the best option at the time. Now that Mitt's the nominee, there are better options for a conservative VP than Newt.

I have a feeling that a Newt VP would be similar in subordination to our current Biden VP - Newt just can't help himself.

Then the Unions should be supporting Romney.

After the tantrum Mitt St. Jesus threw over Santorum calling them and encouraging them to vote for them, I wouldn't count on it.

Not that Romney wasn't doing the same, he just didn't have the courage to admit it.

Spend it now, or have it confiscated later.

Oh I see. so when Myth caves to the unions Newt(as VeeP) might say something exposing the duplicity of it?..

OR when Myth signs a democrat co-opted bill as opposed to vetoing it and sending it back.. Newt might call Myth a RINO on TV or something.. or imply it...

Myth is a RINO you know?...

I could point to the odd things Newt has done in the past, like the global warming commercial, criticizing Ryan's 'right-wing' budget, but I like Newt.

What I meant, and what you missed, is that Newt brings the risk of doing what Biden does routinely: going out on the stump and getting off-message, creating news events that don't need to happen. Where Biden "outed" Obama's gay marriage support, could have had a similar event with Newt.

Like I said, I largely like Newt. But if you want a conservative VP, there are better choices, since the available pool is infinite.

Newt is almost never “off message”.. In the primary’s he was the only one on message..

Santo, Cain and the others had “glimses” of “the message” but were off message most of the time..

Only Newt spat on their shoes.. the message is far bigger than the deficit..

Newt is indeed a whore.. but he a whore we can afford..
