“Obama Admits He Can’t Fix What Bush “Broke”, So Why Reelect Him?”

This is the political judo (where you use your opponent’s weight and momentum against them).

Every time someone tries to deflect blame away from Obama by blaming Bush, don’t argue with them—let them have their point.

“OK, George Bush broke the economy, but Obama doesn’t know how to fix it. Why should we re-elect Obama when he doesn’t know how to fix what Bush broke? We shouldn’t, because we need someone that know how to fix the economy, and the only person running that knows how to fix the economy is Romney.”

At this point, the focus on now on who knows how to fix the economy (where we want the focus), not on who broke it (where Obama wants it).

Some operational definitions would help too. “We will know the economy is “fixed” when these conditons exist:...” I remember specifically when Biden said that we were embarking on the “Summer of Recovery” and was proclaiming the economy as “theirs” now and that all that would follow would be due to Obama and Biden. Of course at that time he was assuming what would follow was a natural cyclic recovery.

I was fully on board up until this last part... I'd leave it out of any discussion with an opponent.
