The fire here is at 55,000 acres in just 1 week. Much of the area to the west is rugged and no roads so the fire team is saying it may take fall snow to finally put out the fires.

any idea the last time that area had a major burn.. I heard close to 200 homes/buildings gone..

Bayne.. plug wire issue.. ouch.

The problem they had here was that it was so swampy that they had trouble getting where they needed to be. Plenty of water but it wasn’t where they needed it.

They said that 18 inches of “Fluff” on the ground was a real problem.
