EPA is set to announce tougher soot standards

WASHINGTON - The Environmental Protection Agency will announce a proposal Friday to tighten the nation's soot standards, a move that could help deliver major health benefits by the end of the decade but force some oil refiners, manufacturers, and other operations to invest in pollution-abatement upgrades.

Industry officials and environmentalists said the proposal, which will be made final by mid-December, would have far-reaching implications for both the U.S. economy and public health.

No, this does: “in Asia”.

Okay, our electric bills are on track to “necessarily skyrocket”.

Propane is high. Gasoline is high.

Joe Snuffy can only afford to heat his house by burning wood in his fireplace.

What do the new “soot rules” do to Joe Snuffy’s fireplace?

New Romney campaign plank: (my proposal)

Repeal ALL EPA regulations put in place over the last 3 years, as NONE of them protect the environment and ALL of them stifle business.

Cut the EPA budget in half and review their charter.

More proof the government is working against us.

If we are foolish enough to buy into the UN propaganda regarding global warming then we should be raising the amount of soot belched into the air to block some of the sun light and give us global cooling.

If humans are responsible for global temperature changes (they are not) then we should be free to reduce those temperatures by making the air dirtier.

After all, we are told by the head cockroach enemy within that Republicans want dirty air, want polluted streams, want to starve babies (seem those that love to kill babies would love this), kill the elderly, blah, blah, blah.

Just how IQ challenged must a person be to believe for a nano-second that a party would actually promote such insanity in an attempt to get elected? If you are that stupid, you are too stupid to breath the valuable air on this planet so do us a favor and die quickly. Oh, wait that was another plank in the GOP platform according do another democrat traitor (redundant).

We have almost half this country who are self avowed traitors to the Founders, the Constitution, and to all of us who believe in the uniqueness of the USA.

What do the new “soot rules” do to Joe Snuffy’s fireplace?

Fireplaces, as will all open fires, will be banned starting in NYC.

“The war on America continues by the EPA.”
_____________________________________________

From Wikipedia:

“The Communist Party [USA] notes its commitment to participating in environmental movements wherever possible, emphasizing the significance of building unity between the environmental movement and other progressive tendencies.[62]

“The Party’s most recently released environmental document–the CPUSA National Committee’s “2008 Global Warming Report”–takes note of the necessity of “major changes in how we live, move, produce, grow, and market.” These changes, the Communists believe, cannot be effectively accomplished solely on the basis of profit considerations:

” “They require long-term planning, massive investment in redesigning and re-engineering, collective input, husbanding resources, social investment in research for long-term sustainability, and major conservation efforts...Various approaches blame the victims. Supposedly the only solution is to change individual consumer choices, since people in general are claimed to cause the problem. But consumers, workers, and poor people don’t have any say in energy plant construction, in decisions about trade or plant relocation or job export, in deciding on tax subsidies to polluting industries like the oil industry.”[63] “

As a first approximation, EPA = traitors.

"...these particles come from activities ranging from wood-burning to vehicle emissions...

It is pretty obvious that the EPA will be banning wood burning fireplaces and stoves and placing more restriction on diesel engines. Note that diesel power is used on most farm machinery and of course diesel powered trucks deliver most of our food to market so watch for food prices to jump as a result.

Besides California and New York, states joining in the lawsuit forcing an EPA decision were Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington.
EPA Proposes Stricter Standards for Soot Pollution

This no doubt came from the Richardson administration. Banning wood stoves and fireplaces in New Mexico (along with making diesel trucks so expensive), will really stir up the locals - most of northern New Mexico is heated, at least in part, by wood burning stoves and fireplaces.
