This is the story of Taylor Morris

Taylor Morris learned at an early age he was hooked on the outdoors, adventurous, the middle of 4 children and always the last one inside for dinner at his home in Cedar Falls, Iowa. His mother Juli recalled, "Our family took a camping trip from Niagra Falls down the East Coast one summer. Taylor set up the tents every night, started the fires, cooked the meals. Taylor was only 8 years old." As Taylor grew older and took to extreme water sports and rock climbing, Taylor discovered he was also very calm under extreme pressure. This quality would later make him the perfect candidate for the Navy's EOD, Explosive Ordinance Disposal.

Explosive ordinance disposal specialists were made famous in Kathryn Bigelow's The Hurt Locker. They are the preeminent tactical and technical explosives experts. Nicknamed 'The Shield', OED specialists always lead, the first to put themselves in harm's way to tackle unexploded ordinance and IED's.

Here is his website. As we all receive the good news that Col. James Johnson, American Hero, received a $300,000 fine for his valor, let’s take a moment to think about and ponder a man who has given so much to serve our country. A man who actually has done what America has asked and more.

Taylor Morris is a true hero that has lost all 4 of his limbs, and hardly a peep about him has been made.

Col Johnson has taken thousands from the taxpayers, disgraced his family, the Army, and himself, and received a fine as punishment. Enlisted and junior officers would be in Leavenworth rotting merrily, whilst their wives and children scraped out a life in the shadows.

I am sorry I didn’t make that clear.

Taylor Morris is an amazing man, and his story is sad, but also inspirational.

Take the stunning and disgusting story of a full bird Colonel- who isn’t fit to breathe the same air as Taylor Morris- and side by side, it is unbelievable.

I have to say that I gave Col Johnson the full benefit of the doubt, thinking that you were honestly supporting him. In the end, though, it sounds like he forged a signature, diverted funds for a project that would support his lover’s father but ultimately wouldn’t work in Afghanistan, and cheated on his wife. I can understand his desire to protect the Iraqi woman and believe she probably was in danger. If he had divorced his wife and married this woman - well, he couldn’t do that either because she was married. It was just wrong, all the way around, once he committed adultery with her.

And yes, Lt Col Terry Lakin sat in Leavenworth for 6 months for simply asking Obama to show that the orders Lakin was given were lawful for him to obey. He was booted out of the military so he lost all compensation including retirement AND the dishonorable discharge was used to keep him from getting a license to practice medicine in Kansas. IOW, they went all-out for blood against Lakin specifically because he did what he felt was necessary to keep his officer’s oath. Anyone can say what they will about the wisdom of what Lakin did, but I doubt that anybody could question the honorable motives behind it.

And when contrasted with what Col Johnson did and the punishment he received, it is mind-boggling.

When Col Johnson’s treatment is contrasted with the treatment of the Haditha Marines, it is similarly mind-boggling.

Taylor Morris is a hero, and I believe the Lord honored his valor by keeping him from bleeding out while they waited for the field to be cleared of old mines. It really would have been worse for Taylor to see somebody else die from those mines than to bleed out himself while the area was cleared. The Lord spared him from both outcomes, and I’m so glad.
