President Barack Obama soaked in the support — and the campaign cash — of Manhattan's elite entertainers Thursday as his re-election team sought to fill its fundraising coffers.
The president and first lady Michelle Obama made a rare joint fundraising appearance when they visited the home of actors Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. The intimate dinner banked about $2 million, with 50 people paying $40,000 each.
The dinner was the Obama campaign's latest attempt to bank on celebrities for fundraising help in countering the growing donor enthusiasm from Republicans supporting Mitt Romney's presidential bid.

The people in that room certainly think so, but probably aren’t too happy about him pulling away the curtain.
If Hollywood idiots are the arbiters of which direction this country goes, then we are farther gone than I thought.

From Tinseltown to Broadway, Obama has surrounded himself with blockbuster names lately: George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon, Spike Lee, Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Cher and many others who make more in one year than most people do in a lifetime.
Obama played basketball with a Batman (Clooney) and a Spiderman (Tobey Maguire), all in one game. He held a private chat in Los Angeles with some of the town's younger stars last week, including Jessica Alba and Jeremy Renner. He has had some of the most popular musicians in the business perform at his fundraisers, such as Alicia Keys, Cee Lo Green, Dave Matthews and the Foo Fighters. For his gig with Obama, Jon Bon Jovi even caught a ride on Air Force One.

Hellyweird is NOT the majority. Hellyweirdos are NOT the arbiters of which direction this country goes. And it’s definitely not from a lack of trying, that’s for sure.
Try as they might, they will NEVER break the American Spirit. They will NEVER break the MAJORITY, who believe in God, Country, FAMILY and honest, decent values and morals.

Obama just knows those with the most $$$ and face time on TV, tend to get more attention and what they want. But it goes without saying, he (and they) don’t live in the real world and that sh!+ don’t fly anymore. From what I’ve seen, those Hellyweirdos and those bankrolling the handbasket to hell, are being seen for what they are, and many are leaving them in droves. Their opinions mean squat. So they can take their arrogant, self-righteous narcissistic self promotion and shove it. Hope they enjoy their reservation in Hell.
As a matter of fact, ideologies hatched in the academy are dispersed via the theater.
So Obama is correct about that much. The Left understands the importance of holding the universities and TV/cinema. Politics is a lagging indicator.
The time it takes for an idea hatched in the academy to become conventional wisdom is about 30 years. If you want to see 30 years into the future, look at prevailing ideologies in the colleges today.
I messed around in that biz for a few years. People who succeed do so by selling their souls to the devil. I’m glad I recognized the evil early on. And I’m proud that I don’t recognize half the names mentioned in the article.
