Didn’t Maine elect a pretty conservative governor? What gives?
The conservative Governor was just elected in 2008 with a 38% plurality in a race with four serious candidates. Republicans did very, very well in Maine in 2010. Was that a short-term reaction to Obama or part of longer trend? It’s too soon to say.
