Our son went to graduate school at UC Santa Cruz. Fortunately, the left wing moonbats tended to stay out of the hard sciences. After 9/11 the graduate residence manager put up a US flag outside his room and was told that it was “offensive.” Fortunately, he didn't care.

I cautioned our son to be careful about the left wingers, and he told me not to worry... and then he tells me about the firebombing of the biology lab. (He's in medical research.)

The aged hippies are all still there in the tie dyed shirts and the flower power VWs.

The local Catholic Church was seriously damaged by vandals just a couple of months ago (probably in response to Obama’s attack on religious freedom.)
