Lieberman Proposes Special Counsel for Leaks Probe
By ANDREW TAYLOR Associated Press
WASHINGTON June 18, 2012 (AP)

Sen. Joe Lieberman says there should be a special counsel to look into allegations that the administration has leaked information on a U.S.-Israeli cyber-warfare campaign against Iran's nuclear program and other classified activities.

The Connecticut Independent also said President Barack Obama should instruct anybody on his staff involved in such leaks to come forward and that the president should himself be interviewed by investigators.

"Mr. President, did you do anything wrong?"
"No, I did not."
"Thank you for your time, Mr. President."

Hey Joe: Why don’t you ask the leaker himself?. Obama.

If he didn’t actually put out the leaks he is behind them.

While you are at it, lets get a Special Prosecutor out to find out why holder hasn’t been fired.

Lieberman is a lying weasel, he denied knowing the leaker when asked, he KNOWS who did it. Plouffe and Doniven are the two rats who talked to the Times and Lieberman knows it very well. All the Dems cover for each other and that liar is no different. What an absolute disgrace that old man is along with all the other scum covering for the Obama Criminal Gang.
The Repubs better damn well get to the bottom and prosecute the bums in the Whitehouse.

My spidey sense tells me that when in the bath house together, Obama tells Biden EVERYTHING. Biden outed that SEAL Team 6 did the OBL raid. That man can’t keep his mouth shut. He’s like a giddy little kid who can’t keep a secret.

Eric Holder's handling of this would be peculiar except that the obvious purpose is a cover-up until after the election. Why have two people named instead of just one as in other cases? Do they have equal authority? Do they have any powers? Was he afraid that just naming Machen would look too partisan even for the MSM? Does he have something on the other guy to make sure he follows orders? Have the two hired any staff?

Imagine Elliot Richardson in 1973 deciding to have the Watergate break-in investigated by a Republican lawyer who had donated money to Nixon's re-election and another person who owed his position to Nixon. Then imagine the media paying almost no attention to the story.

Watergate was trivial compared to this. The break-in might have turned up some damaging information on the Democrats, but Nixon was going to win by a landslide over McGovern anyway. In this case we have leaks that may have permanently harmed our national security and our ability to work with other countries to learn about terrorist attacks.

Bad advice. I’m with Andrew McCarthy on this one. He says a special counsel’s investigation would only give the administration the excuse that since the matter is being investigated, they must withhold all comment.

Better course for maximum political impact:

Let a House Committee subpoena all the relevant WH personnel and maybe some CIA folks, put them under oath, and ask them point blank, “Did you give classified info concerning the cyber program or the drone program to any news media person?”

Then watch who takes the 5th Amendment. The MSM couldn’t ignore, and we’re off to the races!
