If this is Ashland Oregon I may have a suspect. Is there a reward being offered?

” But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. ...”

“His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant!.....you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.”

‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags...”

Jesus’ Parable of the buried gold....in Matt. 25.

"She refuses to have her backyard excavated or allow anyone to search with a metal detector,"

Apparently she's not too concerned about locating it. Or maybe, just maybe, she's a damned liar.

“.......The woman said that two years ago she hired a man to dig several big holes in her yard, which is within Ashland city limits, and then later she buried the gold and other valuables in the holes. Police have interviewed the man who dug the holes, as well as other possible suspects or witnesses, with no results.”
*********************************************************************
Hired a man to dig the holes? Wow this woman is dumb—she violated the first rule of buried treasure; she didn’t kill the people who did the hole digging.

LOL, dingy as she is, probably had Jose’s excavation service dig the hole and put the safe in. Then Jose returned the same night and retrieved it.

Happens all the time......Mrs Spokeshave's idea of banking is to bury the money in a tin in the garden....

One time visiting relatives buried the tin in the pig sty....took a while to find it....LOL

"She refuses to have her backyard excavated or allow anyone to search with a metal detector," said Alderman.

What an incredible idiot! Ya think people JUST might intepret this as meaning there are other buried valuables in her backyard? Good Lord, what a moron!

Maybe she just wanted to put in a vegetable garden and didn’t want to do all the hard digging herself.

So she stakes out an area say two meters by five meters and says, “It was somewhere in that area...”

I kept a collection of very valuable ice cubes under my bed, in a foot locker .

I swear my brother took them and for some weird reason he replaced them with water.

I know he sold my ice cubes for candy money. He even let on a hint when he came home with a bunch of Abba Zabba .....

You guys here seem to have some pretty good knowledge on the working of the gold market and some of the rules. Do any of you know anything about silver bars made by Englhard? I am trying to trace some that were stolen from an estate and by now probably cashed in in either colorado or north Carolina. I tried englhard but BASF bought them out i was told there are no records available. The bars all have their own serial number so they can be traced.

Damn! I just had the same thing happen to me. Instead of losing $262,000 in gold Krugerrands I lost $263,000.

I had mine hidden in the trash can out on the street. A place where no one would look for them. However, some time during the week someone stole them. I heard the trash truck drive off.

I’m gonna guess this lady has one of 2 problems:

1. She forgot where she buried it.

2. She told someone where she buried it.

A metal detector will solve the first problem, but nothing can help a big mouth.
