The cherokee were one of the few Native groups that actually looked favorably at assimilating into the european culture and then the dim’s favorite idol andrew jackson stabbed them in the back.
Things would have been a hell of a lot different if Andrew Jackson wasn’t president, heck I daresay the cherokee people would have become a more intergal part of america.

Even if they had a better point, such as, "All distribution of jobs, votes, and money based on race or ethnicity is pernicious and un-American," I think the point has already been made to anyone who is willing to pay attention.

I think you may be incorrectly judging the motives of these Cherokee women. The focus should be on WARREN’s motives.

There’s a difference between claiming to have served in the military and claiming to be a favored minority: one is the dishonest claim to an accomplishment, and one is not. However, even in the veterans’ case, eventually the point has been made, and further marches or caravans or whatever are unproductive.
One of the problems with our society is that people have been taught to be “proud” of non-accomplishments, so that we now have whole industries devoted to creating a sense of entitlement based on breathing, rather than respect that is earned through good character and achievement.
I suppose that there are more disgraceful acts by our presidents, but what Jackson did has to be near the top of the heap. I, being half-Cherokee, have long despised the man.

I’m not trying to judge their motives, but to figure out their point. It’s already been established that there is absolutely no evidence that Ms. Warren is Cherokee, but that she has claimed to be Cherokee in order to take advantage of racially preferential policies and sentiment.
I am genuinely curious as to what else there is to be said that requires people’s making long journeys to say it to her personally. There is a financial cost and an opportunity cost to this event: what is its intended benefit?

Could it be that these women are attempting to maintain pressure on Ms. Warren to serve the conservative cause?
I live in Tennessee and there are quite a few people here with genuine Cherokee ancestors. All of those that I know are conservatives.
The only way we can actually know their motive is to personally interview the women who traveled to Massachusetts. At this point...I prefer to see the glass as half full. ;-)

They are outraged, offended, and hurt, the article says. They want to tell her, in person, how outraged, offended, and hurt they are. I’m not sure why ... she’s done them no practical harm, unless one of them is a lawyer who might have gotten the AA position at Harvard if Ms. Warren hadn’t. And telling her will not set them free from their outrage etc., because racial “activists” are always outraged: it is the purpose of their existence.
They also want her to admit she lied about being even a fraction Cherokee. Good luck with that: she’s a Democrat, a lawyer, and a politician! Waste of a trip to Massachusetts. They could go to the Bahamas instead.
At any rate, it’s more bad publicity for Ms. Warren. A conservative Senator in Massachusetts doesn’t exist, but at least there a Republican check-in-the-box if Scott Brown is reelected.
We thought about it for a long time, "Endeavor to persevere." And when we had thought about it long enough, we declared war on Massachusetts.
