Iran, Syria, Russia and China are planning the "biggest-ever wargames in the Middle East," according to an unconfirmed report on the semi-official Iranian news site Fars News.

According to the article, the four countries are preparing 90,000 troops, 400 aircraft and 1,000 tanks for the massive joint maneuvers, which are to take place along the Syrian coast within a month.

The report states that Russian "atomic submarines and warships, aircraft carriers and mine-clearing destroyers as well as Iranian battleships and submarines will also arrive in Syria" and that Egypt has agreed to let 12 Chinese warships cross the Suez Canal for the exercises.

So was Israel invited to participate in these festivities? Or this is what ‘democracy’ looks like?

PS. Looks like Ezekiel Ch. 37, 38 shaping up as predicted.

And there just happens to be a civil war going on in Syria. And lets face it, that's exactly what it is. Not an uprising nor protests. A civil war.

Is there room for 1000 tanks in Syria?

With Obama in office, this might be a time for Iran with the help of Russia and China to take out Israel.

Israel has to deal with radical Islam from the South and North. Russian navy to the west. Chinese navy to the gulf. And an American President who has pulled troops from Iraq and Afghanistan which would have neutralized Iran.

And of course, we must mention the American left who live in Israel and pray to the god of Alinsky.

All that has to happen now is Egypt and Syria, via Lebanon start shooting rockets into Israel. With Israel effectively being boxed in, with no allied support, they would be on their own.

You could then build land bridges into Lebanon and Egypt from the Arab world where troops can start pouring in. Who would help? With the EU in turmoil there will be no help there. India, Australia are too far away. The gulf states would sit idle and wouldn’t let America use their territory to help Israel.

Israeli nukes? At that point they would be useless because both Russia and China could destroy Israel and no one would blink and eye.

In the grand scheme of things, this might be the Arab Worlds best opportunity to destroy Israel.

“Is there room for 1000 tanks in Syria?”

During the 6-Day War in 1967, Syria attacked the Israelis on the Golan Heights using between 800 and 1500 tanks.

Iranian press reports on possible Russian military exercises should be taken with a grain of salt. And it would be interesting to know more about the Russian aircraft carriers, if there are any operational.
It will be hard to get all the ships through the Bosporus in a timely manner.

I assess there is about a 100% chance this report is complete, abject garbage.

Why do people suddenly believe the Iranians just because they get off on their apocalyptikook fantasies being fulfilled?

“Looks like Ezekiel Ch. 37, 38 shaping up as predicted.”

That’s what came to mind for me. Along with the 200 million man army crossing the Euphrates.

What comes to mind for me is how astoundingly gullible you are.

Agree, but the world does remind me of a guy in a room full of explosives lighting a cigarette.

Only yesterday there was a significant exchange of fire between the Golani Brigade and “terrorists” along the Sinai border. IDF also dispatched several tanks to area. Entire area could erupt at any given moment...

Ya. And our "President" is like a drunk walking through a mine field with his hands clapped tightly over his ears.

On the plus side? Obi's golf game is improving. It should be, after 100 rounds ! And the economy is "...just fine." What, me worry?

Completely bogus story.

FARS is one of many Iranian propaganda tools.

The Times of Israel is running this story to gin up hysteria about Iran. I want Iran stopped also, but American doesn’t need to be led by the nose.

What is disgraceful is the way the Israeli PR machine lays in wait for boastful b.s. to come out of Iran and then expands the broadcast to the West.

You know we’re being hustled when Israel is pimping Iranian news stories.

Maybe it's a squeeze play against Obama by Putin. Either you deliver Obama, OR... That's the stick. The carrot? Putin will make Obama look like a 'real man' in time for the election. To the brink of war - for an election?

Sorry, I’ve been hanging hurricane shutters all day and I’m pooped. Heat index 107. Brain not working too well. (not that it ever works very well, anyway.) Didn’t recognize the sarcasm. Have a good evening!

I hope this is garbage. I hate to think what would happen if this blew up and with the inept president we have.
