Why don't reporters take a walk around the neighborhood - knock on some doors and ask people how they feel about the gun shop - crime - and some of the proposed solutions?
Seems many of these stories are photo-ops for very small groups. Editors wouldn't fall for 8 (self selected) people representing a large segment of the white community.
Ten thousand Tea Party members are seen as only representing themselves... but 8 to 10 people who tow the paper's political line represent a whole community? And they wonder why people are dropping subscriptions?
