Romney says Rubio is being vetted for No. 2 slot
Reuters ^ | 6/19/12 | John Whitesides & Jackie Frank

Republican Mitt Romney said on Tuesday his White House campaign was vetting U.S. Senator Marco Rubio of Florida as a potential vice presidential pick, denying a report that Rubio was not being seriously considered as his running mate. "The story was entirely false, Marco Rubio is being thoroughly vetted as part of our process," Romney told reporters outside an ice cream shop in Holland, Michigan, as he wrapped up a five-day, six-state bus tour of battleground states. It was the first time Romney has publicly acknowledged exploring the background of a potential Republican vice presidential

This may just provide cover for Obama

You mean John Boehner may have to stop pursuing the questions about Obama's citizenship?

Awesome! So just like mclame named Sarah Palin a couple of years before she had achieved a solid record and soley to
save his sorry ass, i guess Romney can choose Rubio for the
same selfish reasons.

I believe Sarah Palin, Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan have the potential to be real long-term leaders in powerful pos-
itions, but timing matters.

They are all leaders now, of course- but I want MORE!!

Hopefully, lots of lessons were learned from all the back-
stabbing and undermining of Sarah Palin. That mustn’t happen
again

The Leftist version.

Sorry dude, I’m as anti-illegal immigration as you can get, and I support Obama. You are throwing up dust against the wind if you think you’re going to get any one else better on the Leftist side to support anything differently than what Romney has on the table.

Don’t question my principles when yours are based on nothing but speculation. Just because you say it is ‘so’, does not make it ‘so’.

Yea, why would we let the statements of both Romney and Rubio on Obama's latest action on Illegal Immigration get in the way of you believing what you want to believe about both.

So far my write-in presidential ballot is blank, as in zip.

Many are voting out of frustration (with all those who caved to Romney for paying off their campaign debt) for Ron Paul.

The guy stayed and stood, is indebted to no one and still is the only one standing who has the monkey wrench to throw at the RNC for the cram down primary and for at least making an effort to try for a convention conversation rather than a convention coronation.

The RNC needs to be out of Washington to represent the people, rather than throwing in years in advance with the Establishment to elevate, fund, and support some RINO nominee.

All I know for sure is that the convention is the last voice of the grassroots to influence the RNC for 4-8 years.

We need to be heard there, but given that the RNC get our vote no matter their pressure, tactics and cherry picking, maybe the convention is now a waste of time.

We cave at their behest anyway. Over and over. Without fail.

BTW: I should have placed Obama’s name where I put Romnay’s name near the end. I misread the gist of the meaning.

I didn’t agree with the post responded to, so I thought it might help the writer to see how it looked from a Leftist vantage point.

Rubio was “naturaized” at birth by Title 8 of the US Code. Without Tile 8 of US law, Rubio would NOT be a US citizen. US Code cannot control the citizenship of a Natural Born Citizen born in the US to two US Citizens.

Vote for/support who you wish.

After 8 years of the Bush crowd, I've got a belly full of the big party well connected insiders and their endless lies, open border lawless free for all policies, biggov spending etc... Government has just become too big, too controlling, too many well connected super wealthy calling the shots.

They even allowed our electoral process to become compromised and undermined.

I'm confident this country will not be saved by traditional means.

“Marco's status is the same as that of Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama, who is NOT a Natural Born Citizen.”

There is a difference. On the alleged record Barry has ONE US citizen parent at birth while Marco has ZERO US citizen parents at birth.

This could create a wedge opening for Obots who could claim that Barry's inauguration creates a de facto precedent for eligibility being affirmed if a person has at least one US citizen parent at birth.

Maybe Klayman can get his FL ballot case accelerated up to SCOTUS to resolve this. That is my hope.

Meanwhile, Romney was compelled to at least affirm that Rubio was being vetted to keep FL Hispanics happy. Part of that vetting, of course, will be to determine whether Rubio is NBC eligible!

Romney has been very cozy with Trump knowing full well that Trump is challenging Barry's NBC status and birth location. At this point it is in Romney's interest to hold back from Rubio until the Arpaio findings of forgery play out and to see where that goes.

It is also undisputed that Rubio was born in the US while it is not clear that Barry was. If Barry gets taken down due to proof of a Kenyan birth being discovered, then Obots will go full bore after Rubio, having nothing to lose, just like they went after McCain.

It’s interesting that earlier today on Cavuto, IIRC - Rubio said he hadn’t been asked to fill out any forms, submit financials, etc., saying he wasn’t being vetted.

“Rubio has a plan, and it’s better than anyone’s right now.

I kills me that people can throw stones and call names, and they are more worried about the people already here than the ones crossing into our border every day”

I am hispanic. I was born in Texas, but my grandparents with m y young mother immigrated LEGALLY to the United States. Took several years. I do not agree with race pimp Rubio’s amnesty plan. It is not a good plan or a solution. I shall offer you the correct and better plan right now:

Enforce existing law; secure the border; add harsh penalties for businesses that hire illegal aliens; allow individual states to enforce immigration law and assist federal government (like Arizona). Issue resolved.

No amnesty is necessary to rid us of the criminals. Those who are not deported will deport themselves. It’ll clean up within a few years.

Your plan (Rubio’s plan) is nothing but appeasement and surrender to criminality.

BS. No one in power has ever admitted that Bozo is not an NBC. Since no one has acknowledged it, it cannot be precedent. The only way it would become precedent is if he openly admitted to being an alien and was accepted as a candidate anyway. Since the Dems, and their lackey judges, keep denying it then there is no precedent.
