Not at all. We have a very active social life, including extended family and neighbors who disagree with us. Imagine that!

Any institution that claims to educate children, yet ignores this end, is a contradiction. It’s an institution adrift —an institution without purpose.
This is one of the two fundamental reasons for the deplorable state of government schooling. The curriculum is a grab-bag of often contradictory teachings formed by the conflicting ideologies of various interested groups.
The fact that parents are not recognized or treated as the primary educators of children is the other fundamental reason for the state of government schooling.
