I talked to my son today who lives in Rochester, where Greece is near.

Apparently, the guy who started this wanted to raise $5,000 to send her on a week vacation. At the end of THREE hours, they had over $10,000 and as of now, within 48 hours, they’re up to $500,000!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the kid’s dads called in on a talk show about it. He said he was a cop and that if someone had told him that his kid had done something like that, that he would not have believed it because he wasn’t raised that way and doesn’t behave that way around them.

But he saw the video and his son and now he said, his decision is whether to beat him with his fist or his foot.

My son also reports that this sort of behavior is the tip of the iceberg according to the report of another bus monitor in the area. I would not be surprised to find this sort of thing fairly widespread. But unless some kid decides to post a you tube clip of it, I doubt anyone would find out. The school districts certainly aren’t going to post what their surveillance cameras catch.

On another thread, a Freeper suggested on-line video streaming of all government school classrooms. I think parents would be shock at the behavior allowed and the content of the courses ( or NON-content).

Good! Glad to hear it. Even the children of good parents can be corrupted when they're away from them 6-8 hours a day.

The cruelty exhibited by those students didn't surprise me at all. I remember witnessing that type of cruelty (and far worse) regularly when I was growing up. Sadly, these kids probably will always think that way, even if they learn not to behave that way openly. Thanks for sharing what your son learned locally.

I’m so glad to hear a dad step up and say what his kid did was wrong.

I’m still confused why the bus driver didn’t know what was going on?

I know there will be those who have excuses as to why they do, but I just don’t get why any one would want their kids at a public school now.
