Speaking of breaking news I see a FRiend of ours has pinged me to a thread. Do you think it’s some kind of trap?

Interesting that a race shop would be snippy about a truck stop moving in. I could see if it was $400,000 homes maybe.

Maybe KB is worried the wrench crew will patronize the lot lizards @ lunchtime?

I had a similar thought but the Beer chasers could be a problem? I need to find time to Google the locations...

The story also mentioned a wind tunnel.

Is it this one?

That’s owned by Gene Haas.

Watching Nationwide quals from Road America. I don’t know if it is camera angles or what, but I just LOVE watching races b’cast from there. Be nice if the Cup cars ran there.

Not to change the subject but..

I’ve got an opportunity to get a 64 F100 with a 292 Y block in it, don’t know a thing about no 292, would you mess with one?

A similar engine was in the early T Birds or you could transplant a 289 into it. The engine compartment is big enough for a new diesel.

Ya, looks like the run was from 54-5 to 65 or so but that’s not what my question was...

btw, if got plenty of diesels.

OK Pete... let's try this again. I was born in the back seat of of a new 1933 Chevrolet so I would put a 582 cu Big Block in it!!!

Let’s get back to the 64 F100 itself... they are a great looking truck unless it has the Double Fugly step side bed. The Y block engines had serious oiling problems to the rocker arms causing them to wear prematurely and become very noisy. I imagine the engine rebuilders have solved that little problem but back in the day we put a Tee at the oil pressure sending unit and ran a kit called a overhead oiler to the valve covers to oil the rockers.
