I think people are now inventing ways to be pessimistic. You statement defies logic since there is a minimum threshold for the SCOTUS to accept a case.

Wow, it's almost frightening to think about.

I mean, the reaction of people who know what this means would be akin to "duck and cover". People would be scrambling to salvage what they could of their business assets and other financial investments.

It could crash an already abysmal economy.

The EU would know that there's no bailout, because any money would have just come off the presses and have no real, stable value.

We'd be a pauper nation with a poor ruling from SCOTUS, and I think it'd have that hard an impact in a matter of days if not hours.
