They’re close to the border and feeling the overpopulation from Mexico, that is prob costing them tremendously.

Good for them! Standing together we are stronger.

Escondido was also the first city in America to forge a special partnership with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in 2010, under which ICE agents help Escondido police officers determine whether suspects of crimes are in the country illegally or are wanted for deportation. The program has resulted in several thousand illegal aliens to be deported - much to the rage of open-borders activists.

What's wrong with this picture? Isn't ICE part of the Federal Government? How did they get passed Holder's gun running hoods?

Good for them.

Funny that the ones most directly affected are the only ones taking action.

The rest of America is uninvolved and fall for the Liberal crap fed them through the media.

Those that understand and live elsewhere won’t act until such time as they are directly affected.

The answer to the percentage question is quite simple. The figures Diaz is quoting are for the population as a whole, and Escondido does have an Hispanic majority. However, voter registration is determined based on American citizenship. Escondido has a large illegal immigrant population. When you look at the percentage of actual registered voters, the Hispanic percentage is about 25 percent.

The description of the vote regarding Arizona isn't quite accurate. One of the other Council members objected to the issue being considered on the grounds that Council policy prohibits the Council from getting involved in issues outside the city. There was no “Stand By Arizona” vote.

The rest is accurate, and Mayor Abed is one of the “good guys”, with the patriotic fervor often seen in those who have moved here from one of the world's tough sites. The local libs, by the way, conduct almost daily personal attacks on him and local conservatives rarely show up at Council meetings or write the local paper to support him. Those who support him should devote a little more effort expressing it. Diaz has this little group of proxies who lead the attacks while she pretends to be “above it all”. It's pretty nauseating. Here's one of their recent stunts.

Note the comments on the story, most of them from Diaz's little choreographed hit squad. Sam Abed is an honorable man who loves freedom, his city and America: all the stuff libs hate.

Oh, I forget to mention, Olga Diaz took office following a campaign in which her supporters hanged her opponent in effigy. Real class act.

She's running for reelection this year, and we're working hard to get her obnoxious activist ass off the dais.

despite her touting how Hispanics outnumber non-Hispanics in Escondido 49-41%

Gee. When my granparents moved there in 1960 from Los Angeles, there were hardly any.

I remember beautiful mornings in Escondido, with soft fog and mild temperatures even in August. I would walk through the avocado orchards from my grandfather's house to my uncle's house, and ask my father why we couldn't live there, instead of in the hot Arizona desert.

He said we couldn't afford it, and I thought someday maybe if I worked hard enough, I could afford to live in such a wonderful place.

Yet it is now majority Mexican, mostly criminals who sneer at American law and the American nation?

How is such a thing possible?
