Fat-Dave must be getting a lot of grief from his Lefty fans on the political cocktail circuit. Not much of a historian if he can’t take a little heat defending his work.

Here at the South Podunk Institute of Technology, Wick and I are shocked...
to hear that President Obama has not told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth and the evil GOP is using it against him!

He doesn’t really care. He has to act as if the enormous popularity of his research upsets him so he can maintain his access to polite liberal society, but he is not actually bothered.

Referring to "Dreams From My Father," Maraniss indicated that a memoir is far different from rigorous factual biography. It's not as though I'm trying to say, "Ah-ha, I got you," on each point. It's just I'm trying to present the way I really found it, which is in many cases different from what he presented. But the author noted that he almost didn't write the book because he feared that the right wing would dismiss the book while cherry-picking every single negative thing in it to use against Obama.
What a convoluted way of reasoning
Sounds like Clinton at his best

When someone lies about inconsequential things, you can be damn sure they also lie about things that really matter.
