Tarheel trainwreck: The coming DNC disaster

There aren’t Greek columns tall or wide enough to camouflage Barack Obama’s impending North Carolina catastrophe. In September, the campaigner-in-chief will travel to Charlotte for his party’s presidential nominating convention. For once, the incurable jetsetter may wish he had stayed home.

Obama’s stage managers envision a triumphant, unifying coronation reminiscent of their 2008 DNC production in Denver. But the southern swing state is turning into a Democratic disaster zone.

Start with the North Carolina Democratic Party. At the state party convention last week, Obama for America was AWOL. The glaring absence of high-level national Obama surrogates was noted “as odd,” according to the Charlotte Raleigh News and Observer. There’s good reason to steer clear. The party is embroiled in a sordid sex scandal that won’t go away.

Read the story of the ongoing sexual harassment suit at the article, it's not going to be pretty.

The schadenfreude of all this is hard not to enjoy.

Is anyone willing to bet this is never reported once by the LSM during the convention this summer?

If I lived in Charlotte, I would make sure I had plenty of insurance and then get out of town before the locusts arrive and stay away until it is all over.

Thousands of anarchists, socialists and professional agitators also plan on protesting in Charlotte.

And what's richly ironic is that nearly every single one of them will be angry leftists (is there any other kind?), eager to eat their own.

Dems to hold their National Convention in a Right to Work State, in a city that has no union-staffed Hotels, over Labor Day weekend, expecting that their Union supporters will help fund the event.

Brilliant.

While “Forward!” may be the official Obama campaign slogan, “Back Away!” is quickly becoming the dissenting Democrats’ rallying cry.

LOL!

Parmley is a poster boy for the DNC. What a resume:

  1. He's chaired a national organization for the Hitler Youth.
  2. He's chaired operations for the DNC in three states.
  3. He obviously can't control his schlong.
  4. He boinked a student while he was her professor and even given her HIV.
  5. He tried to buy her silence with party funds.

Is he 35 years old yet? If so, Obama might even be persuaded to step aside for a resume like that.

NC is on track to have both a Republican governor and legislature for the first time in 140 years. The current Democrat governor is the least popular governor in the entire country! Having the Democrat convention in Charlotte will offer ample opportunity to drive home both points to a national audience. With BHO mismanaging things in DC, smart people are fleeing the Democrat brand in droves.

...former party communications stafferAdriadn Ortega, 26, accused former NCDP executive director Jay Parmley of repeated sexual harassment and physical groping. Documents leaked to the conservative Daily Caller news site revealed a hush-hush financial settlement involving the two men. Ortega was fired; Parmley resigned; state Democrats went into panic mode.

“If this hits the media, the Democratic Party, our candidates and our credibility are doomed in this election,” a local candidate complained to NCDP chairman ...

If this hits the media? Oh gimme a break - the effing 'media' knows and they'll do 'cover up' mode from here to eternity. Dems - for all their high drama - are at NO RISK from the doting court eunuchs of the MSM. The New York Times wouldn't touch this story with a ten foot pole.

Or force everyone to Buy insurance and tell them their Premiums will go down 2500 dollars when in fact they nearly Double! What a Bunch of Dreamers! Obama Obama! Yes we can!!
