As long as the lies were long term, and their empirical discrediting was in the future, liberals would embrace the lie.

When the lie becomes untenable to the point of subjecting the ones who embrace it to ridicule, liberals will finally discard it.

You and I may care about the lie, but then, we never were willing to embrace it. So we are moot regarding points made about people abandoning AGW. You can't abandon something you always rejected.
