AS A NON CATHOLIC, I can't for the life of me , figure out how a Catholic could possible bring themselves to vote Democrat.

Because the Democrat machine took care of my Irish/Italian/Polish great-grandparents back in the day, and we have always voted for them since in the name of SOCIAL JUSTICE (since they proved they would take care of us poor immigrant workin' folk in the face of mean old WASPish capitalists).

Don't get too excited. If SCOTUS strikes down Obamacare the Church will declare a truce and move to a neutral corner.
